It is funny to think that we are counting down the time we have left travelling and it all seems a bit short to fit everything in on one hand and a long time with lots of school work to do on the other hand! It is both hard and easy to believe we have been away from home for seven months now. We have become so adaptable and easily call our new accommodations "home" and settle quickly into new environments.

Yet another style of postbox! |
Semester Two officially began today and the kids all settled down to school without too much fuss. It was so much easier to start school again this semester than it was to start the distance education program at the start of the year. We are veterans now!
It helped that today was a slightly grey and rainy day and although we
did go for a morning walk, the weather wasn't calling us to stay
outside! Luke and I were asked to pose for a photo for an artist to
complete his drawing as he needed subjects on a seat by the canal!

Luke observed:"The leaf shadows are making bird like reflections" |
As we passed by the little creek, Luke said: "The leaf shadows are
making bird like reflections" - it was a beautiful poetic description of
the scene, and indeed exactly what it looked like. Luke has a lovely
way with words! The other day, when Tim must have scratched his arm on
something, Luke noticed blood and said: "Tim, you are a true survivor!"
He often leaves us giggling (quietly).

For my niece who is known as Pepper. |
Later in the afternoon we wandered by the canal again, via the Tourist Information Centre, which was very helpful, and continued on the path. With not many people about and a few rabbits grazing, it is a nice contrast to London.

This is where we turn into our estate. |
After dinner, the kids and I went to the play area at the end of the estate which leads on to the field. No matter how much energy they burn off, bedtimes are late.
