It was good to wake up this morning and realise that we had gained an hour as European summer time had finished and we put the clocks back.

"School" |
There are a number of fun games here, mostly "wooden and quality" if you know what I mean. Luke has had a lovely time exploring the kid shelves and finding lots to play with. It is good for him to have a break from his two lunch boxes of Lego which have served him well but even with the best imagination, become rather familiar. One of the very nicest things about Airbnb is that often the accommodation looks like a family just walked out and left everything they use for our use. We are careful, clean and tidy with good references and it's been great. The family who own this house clearly value games and things for kids to do, so it is perfect. It is also quiet and comfortable.

Our
garden - you might be able to see the trains in the background - can't
notice them through the double glazing, especially in the basement where
the bedrooms are. |
We hadn't heard many trains going past
and were unsure whether Sundays were counted as "lavorativi" or
"festivi" on the timetable.. The "festivi" are pretty infrequent and we
didn't want to get stranded somewhere. We walked to the station but it
soon became clear that our expected train wasn't coming and therefore,
Sunday was counted as "festivi". Had they written Sunday and public
holidays, it would have been clearer! We decided to check out the other
side of Roveri as our area, apart from our "borgo" is industrial.
We
walked along a road, past fields and farms and hazy hills in the
distance before nearing the motorway, housing developments and our
familiar shops. The hazy glare makes you squint your eyes and it feels
hotter that it is!

Tim enjoying his biscuit! |
The shopping mall is in full swing on Sundays and while Karl and Tim
checked out the electronic shop, Luke and Annika were invited to
decorate biscuits at a cooking show table! Apparently there was to be a
big cake and singing and dancing there a bit later but we decided to
walk home. Time for a bit more school and then hopefully a relaxing Sunday evening...I did spot "Twister" on the shelf so maybe we'll have a bit of tangled hilarity!
