We all slept in and it was magnificent! I think after such a long journey, even without time zone changes, you can feel a little jet lagged! Luke was so happy to have toys on tap and so this morning he set up little villages in any rooms which had toys in them.

The hosts who own this house homeschool their 4 children, are vegans and live an environmentally conscious lifestyle which they ask we respect. There are loads of toys and things to play with and do in their house and it is completely child friendly. What a shame we had to eventually start school today but the show must go on! The only "problem" about their healthy lifestyle is that there is no coffee machine here and I had assumed that being Italian there would definitely be a coffee machine here! I only drink one coffee a day but I have become used to sitting down to start "school" with my coffee!

The sun was streaming in the windows and
it was tee-shirt weather again and blue skies! The big kids got down
to work and Luke settled in the end.

After
such a late start to the day, by the time we all walked to the
Ipermarket which is huge and found all the grocery items on our list, it
was mid afternoon! Whilst not such an interesting walk to the shops
past all the industrial zone, it was pleasant in the nice weather.

After
dinner, Luke and I, as a reward for his prompt journal writing, watched
"Back to the Future Part II" as it is 21 October 2015, the date which
Marty and the Doc travel to in the 1989 movie. Although I have seen it a
few times before, it was fun enjoying it with Luke who was enthralled
by the whole concept of time travel.

Deletewe are still recovering I think. The kids are really enjoying the delicious Italian bread and olive oil...living like the locals...and that's the whole idea!
